In March of 2012 I crossed the finish line of my first marathon. I knew that was the beginning of helping others see the "light" to an end of abuse. I knew if I could run 26.2 miles after being told that I "will never run a marathon" that I could show others how to cope through running, faith and courage after they too leave their abuser. It's never easy leaving. It's never easy to fight for peace & happiness afterwards. But I've done it! I'm a survivor and a THRIVER! I am set out to run a marathon in all 50 States while raising awareness. Follow my journey & my advocacy as I fight for others!
